Old concrete patio in Hazelhatch, Co Kildare replaced with Limestone. The clients were avid gardeners who wanted to clean and improve the paving area and this was designed to allow them to plant the areas themseslves. Hand built stone wall with integrated steps from limestone was designed and built to replace an existing worn walkway by the river. The area was sloped and the wall was built to have an aged aesthetic. The client brief was for a dry stone wall, keeping the use of mortar to a minimum so plants would eventually colonise the joints.
This project was completed in October, 2013.
